The Streaming Platform to Bring a Popular Game TV Series from the Producers of the Alien Series and the Comedy Hit.

The newest action-packed instalment that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, that starred Giancarlo Esposito as the bad guy, Antón, and was released during October 6, 2021. Throughout the franchise, it is famous for delighting in action and mayhem with equal excitement, all while presenting captivating, ideologically themed narratives. No wonder then that FX's decision for a Far Cry limited-run show brought on board two visionaries whose work have represented all of those qualities.

What to Expect

Inspired by Ubisoft's successful video game property, the limited anthology series will stream on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also follow the video games' structure by introducing a different location and ensemble in subsequent series.

Creative Minds

Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the mind behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as lead producers on the series under their labels, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

The network enjoyed magnificent collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is original, compelling, and incredibly entertaining. We also want to thank our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this popular property.”

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also appear in the show, but as of now, we are unsure of what role that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently renewed for a second instalment, with FX and Disney finalizing a new overall deal with the producer.

“Being able to collaborate with Noah Hawley is a fantasy come true,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been remarkably supportive, entrusting us with one of the most iconic video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX family constantly supports me with their steady belief and support.”

“The aspect I admire about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an standalone program. Every title is a take of a idea, the same way each season of Fargo is a variation on a theme,” said Hawley. “To produce a epic action show that can shift from season to season, while always examining the core of people through this multifaceted and chaotic lens, is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to partner with Rob and bring our common unconventional, daring approach to the audience.”

A release window for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus in other regions.
